I am so excited about a new series of books that has a lot of people talking. They are titled “Bone” they are a comic series, chapter book. They are great for anyone who enjoys adventure, trouble, great characters and comics! I hope you will like them as much as I do. Check out Barnes and Noble and your local library for them!

  2.   Mrs. Majowicz Says:

When I was in a workshop this summer, our teacher read us a very funny picture book about a boy and his new baby brother. It is very humorous! I laughed quite a bit when she was reading it to us. If you have ever had a new baby brother or sister in your family, you’ll love this book, too! Look for it at the library or bookstore. The title is “Barfburger Baby, I Was Here First” by Paula Danziger.

This year my kids loved the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” books. Both the boys and girls laughed out loud while reading it!

Oh, Mrs. Wyse, I just love “ISH”. My favorite book to read to my class is “Trumpet of the Swan” by E.B. White. My students get to hear what an actual trumpeter swan sounds like through the use of the Smartboard. It’s so fun.
    Happy Reading!!

I just returned from a week at the beach. I had the time to read several books over vacation. Mrs. Majowicz recommended Edward’s Eyes and I LOVED it… I cried my eyes out (of course)! I am looking forward to hearing all about the great books everyone has been reading!

  14.   Colin Says:

Sorry I haven’t been on the blog but I have been thinking about everybody. I haven’t been doing much new reading. I have been doing a lot of rereading. Some of the new books that I have read are Diary of a Red Sox Season written by Jonny Pesky, The Dragon series by Michael D’Lacey, and Rotten School by J.K. Rowling. My Favorite is the Diary of a Red Sox Season (You should read this book Mrs. Majowicz). I am looking foward to reading The Mars Chronicles which I never had a chance to read in Mrs. Majowicz class. Can’t wait to see everybody. From Colin

  15.   Mrs. Majowicz Says:

Since you are recommending Diary of a Red Sox Season for me to read, Colin, then it better be about one of their LOSING seasons! Otherwise, I probably won’t be able to read it (ha ha)! What is this JK Rowling book about? I have not heard of Rotten School, but you know how much I enjoy her as one of my favorite authors. I would love to hear about it (without giving away too much of it). As you’ve been rereading some of your favorite books, have you discovered new parts that you didn’t pick up on the first time you read? That happens to me all the time!
